“Technical error in geolocation”
- If you're using an Android device, you need to upgrade the app to the latest version.
- You can upgrade by clicking here using your Android device. If you attempt to open the link from a computer or any other source you will receive an error.
- Our geolocation service does NOT support Chrome OS devices. Please use a device with an alternative operating system to access your WSOP.com account.
“We're unable to verify your location through Wi-Fi”
- Make sure your Wi-Fi is turned on. This also applies if you're playing from a mobile device, such as an iPad or Smartphone.
- Click here for instructions on how to turn on your Wi-Fi.
- You don’t need to be connected to the Internet using Wi-Fi, but you should be able to see Wi-Fi networks from your computer.
- If your device does not have Wi-Fi capabilities, many players have found success using a Wi-Fi Adapter which can be purchased at most major retailers and/or electronic stores.
- If you're situated in a tall building and on a high floor, this can also have a negative effect and prevent your location from being accurately pinpointed using Wi-Fi. Please ensure that you're located as close to ground level as possible and able to detect other Wi-Fi networks.
- When you're connecting to WSOP.com from a mobile device using 3G/4G and we’re unable to verify your location via Wi-Fi, we’ll use a combination of your Wi-Fi signal, GPS location and cellphone carrier data, to confirm that you’re login in/playing from within Michigan.
- Please ensure that GPS is enabled on your device, and you're within good cellular network range.
“We've detected remote control software on your machine”
- If you have remote desktop software such as 'LogMeIn' or 'GoToMyPC' running on your laptop or desktop device, you will not be able to access real money gaming.
- You will need to quit these programs and ensure they are no longer running on your device.

- Also, if you're running proxy or VPN software, such as 'Witopia', 'OpenVPN', or 'HMA', you will not be able to access real money gaming.
- Please close such programs and try login into your WSOP.com account again.
